A tribute to my river with the words of the poet Carlo Luigi Folcia
I dip my hand
a persuasive buzz of current
it gives me pleasure.
Prasio woods rise from the banks
and white lyrics of wings.
Sun quartz shines everywhere
brown algae dancing flashes of silver.
A warm shiver rises
ineffable spasm of veins
perpetual voice of ancestors.
It's the water that speaks
the water that surrounds
the water that captivates.
You are here big river
life teacher
wonderful part of me.
You are flow and cool
embankment and wave
free sky.
