Il Torrente Moneglia

Non lontano dalla città, affluente della val Baganza, scorre questo piccolo torrente il cui nome mi ricorda la Liguria. Nel suo tratto iniziale pare essere solo un piccolo anonimo canale, nemmeno tanto pulito, che scorre ai margini di un paese. Ma da questo piccolo paese parte un sentierino che costeggia il canale, e lasciate alle spalle le ultime case, si inoltra subito in un bel bosco, una piccola e graziosa valle, dove il torrente qui appare un poco più grande e serpeggia dolcemente in questo bel bosco, molto rigoglioso e verdeggiante in primavera, e molto magico nel periodo autunnale.
Contrariamente alle impressioni iniziali, l'acqua appare cistallina, molto limpida e pulita, così come il bosco che rivela un bell'ambiente naturale ricco e variopinto. Si può camminare lungo un bel sentiero che costeggia, attraversandolo in più punti, il torrente, oppure si può risalire il torrente stesso, senza particolari difficoltà se non qualche intralcio di rami e tronchi, scoprendo una natura rigogliosa e semi-selvaggia, che mi ricorda alcuni dipinti ottocenteschi di paesaggi campestri e pastorali.
Lungo il torrente si incontrano alcune vecchie murature in pietra che testimoniano l'antica convivenza dell'uomo con queste acque, si incontra anche un piccolo laghetto nella parte alta della valle, dove il sentiero lascia poi il torrente dirigendosi verso alcuni piccoli borghi. Nella parte alta della valle il torrente si suddivide in diversi piccoli rivoli difficili da seguire in quanto molto stretti ed invasi dalla vegetazione.
Con grande sorpresa, camminando nel greto, ho scoperto che questo affascinante torrente è abitato non solo da alcuni pesci, nemmeno tanto piccoli, ma anche da tanti gamberi di acqua dolce, una grande soperta che conferma la purezza di queste acque, questi animali infatti sono molto sensibili alle sostanze inquinanti, ed hanno bisogno di acque pulite e ben ossigenate. Dopo aver realizzato la grande bellezza, ma al contempo la grande delicatezza e fragilità di questo ambiente, mi sono reso conto che quella che per noi può essere una semplice passeggiata, per altre forme di vita questo ambiente è vita, è casa, pertanto occorre sempre prestare la massima attenzione a dove si mettono i piedi, e bisogna muoversi con grande cautela e delicatezza, per non danneggiare il fondo del torrente, e naturalmente non dobbiamo lasciare alcuna traccia del nostro passaggio, sia esso nell'acqua o nel bosco: per questi motivi sono titubante nel fornire indicazioni troppo precise per individuare questo luogo incantato.
Ho raccolto alcune immagini di questi bellissimi e rari animali, e di questo ambiente molto particolare e suggestivo, fotografando il torrente sia sopra che sotto il pelo dell'acqua, nonchè del bel bosco che lo accompagna, in particolare nel periodo autunnale la natura offre ai nostri occhi colori e contrasti molto seducenti e atmosfere quasi fiabesche. Questi sono i luoghi che "mi entrano dentro", sono quei piccoli santuari della natura dove puoi sempre venire a fare due passi per ritrovare il contatto con il tuo spirito e dialogare con l'anima della Terra e degli esseri fatati, che qui certamente dimorano, schivi e silenziosi.

Not far from the city, a tributary of the Baganza valley, flows this small stream whose name reminds me of Liguria. In its initial stretch it seems to be just a small anonymous canal, not so clean, that flows on the edge of a town. But from this small town starts a path that runs along the canal, and leaving the last houses behind, it immediately enters a beautiful wood, a small and pretty valley, where the stream here appears a little larger and winds gently through this beautiful wood, very luxuriant and verdant in spring, and very magical in autumn.
Contrary to initial impressions, the water appears crystalline, very clear and clean, as does the forest which reveals a beautiful, rich and colorful natural environment. You can walk along a beautiful path that runs along the stream, crossing it in several points, or you can go up the stream itself, without any particular difficulty other than a few hindrances of branches and trunks, discovering a luxuriant and semi-wild nature, which reminds me some nineteenth-century paintings of rural and pastoral landscapes.
Along the stream you will encounter some old stone walls that testify to the ancient coexistence of man with these waters, you also meet a small lake in the upper part of the valley, where the path then leaves the stream heading towards some small villages. In the upper part of the valley the stream is divided into several small streams that are difficult to follow as they are very narrow and overrun by vegetation.
With great surprise, walking in the shore, I discovered that this fascinating stream is inhabited not only by some fish, not even very small, but also by many freshwater shrimps, a great soperta that confirms the purity of these waters, these animals are in fact very sensitive to pollutants, and need clean and well oxygenated water. After realizing the great beauty, but at the same time the great delicacy and fragility of this environment, I realized that what for us can be a simple walk, for other forms of life this environment is life, it is home, therefore it is always necessary pay the utmost attention to where you put your feet, and you must move with great caution and delicacy, so as not to damage the bottom of the stream, and of course we must not leave any trace of our passage, be it in the water or in the woods: for these reasons are hesitant to provide too precise information to identify this enchanted place.
I have collected some images of these beautiful and rare animals, and of this very particular and suggestive environment, photographing the stream both above and below the surface of the water, as well as of the beautiful wood that accompanies it: especially in the autumn period nature offers our eyes very seductive colors and contrasts and almost fairytale atmospheres. These are the places that "enter me", they are those small sanctuaries of nature where you can always come for a walk to find contact with your spirit and dialogue with the soul of the Earth and of the fairy beings, who certainly live here, shy and silent.
