L'attualità degli antichi Arcani

Il posto migliore per nascondere un segreto, è metterlo in piena vista.
(Edgar Allan Poe)

Inthis particular moment in which we find ourselves, suffocated by dense, dark, and heavy energies, I happened to read this beautiful description of the meaning of this Arcanum: the Hanged Man.

I would like to quote a few words from this very apt description, which seems tailor-made for those who cannot accept and conform to the single-minded way of thinking and the dictates of a society increasingly distant from Nature and Truth. Especially tailor-made for those who, like me, intend to defend their self-determination and protect the integrity and sacredness of their lives. This is not to say that some of us are the exclusive possessors of the Truth; that is likely to be known by no one, and life is and will always remain, until our last days, an unfathomable mystery. But I believe there's a substantial difference between those who seek a glimmer of Truth and strive every day, cultivating the seed of doubt, and those who comfortably accept every narrative handed down from above, which serves to create their own pen, their own chicken coop, within which they can be raised.

At the same time, I'm pleased to offer you this beautiful card from my collection, a very unique version of the classic Hanged Man, taken from a Major Arcana deck designed by Russian artist Giona Fiochi in 1999, a masterpiece of graphics and symbolism.

I felt deeply moved when I read these words, which I felt resonate deeply within me, and which I offer you in full:

"The tied hands symbolize that, in this condition, it is no longer necessary to act materially, but only to bear witness with the pure strength of the mind and the presence of the spirit. In this world and in the present time, the enlightened Hanged Man must carry out the superhuman task he has set himself. He must penetrate with the Light, of which he is the Channel and Bearer, into the world of the prisoners of the Illusion of Maya. But in their world, which was his, the Hanged Man is destined to be a misunderstood torturer. His Light will, in fact, disturb the chaotic agitation of the deaf and short-sighted masses. He will be incomprehensible to a good portion of the uninitiated, who will make him the object of their irony, their suspicion, their hatred, and ultimately, perhaps because of these effects, he will have to agree to sacrifice his own life for his mission. But the Hanged Man does all this. He knows and understands it, and is not afraid.
