L'emozione del volo
Volare è una delle cose più emozionanti che ci siano, e più il mezzo utilizzato è elementare, più il volo è emozionante. E quanto di più semplice ed elementare c'è di una mongolfiera ? Un semplice pallone gonfiato con aria calda e appeso sotto c'è un cestino di vimini, come quello del pane, solo che invece delle micche di pane, ci siete dentro voi !
Un volo assolutamente silenzioso, liscio, morbido, più sali di quota, più i rumori terrestri si affievoliscono, fino al silenzio assoluto, senti solo lo scorrere del vento ! Ed è il vento che guida il tuo volo, nient'altro che il vento.
Noi non le vediamo, ma nell'aria ci sono tantissime correnti, durante il volo è curioso vedere come, pur sorvolando lo stesso punto geografico, mongolfiere a quote leggermente diverse, si muovono in direzioni completamente opposte !
L'atterraggio invece può essere un po' più movimentato del volo, a Ferrara siamo atterrati in un campo di soia, il cestino si è rovesciato ed è stato trascinato dal pallone e dal vento per diverse decine di metri, un po' come essere nella centrifuga della lavatrice ! In un volo effettuato in Turchia invece, siamo atterrati con una precisione millimetrica: il pilota ha fatto adagiare il cestino direttamente sul rimorchio di un fuoristrada !
Una curiosità da scuola guida: in aeronautica, il mezzo meno manovrabile è quello che ha sempre la precedenza, quindi la mongolfiera non essendo manovrabile (va dove va il vento), ha sempre la precedenza, questo vuol dire che se una mongolfiera si trovasse a passare nei pressi di un grande aeroporto internazionale, tutto il traffico aereo sarebbe costretto a fermarsi per far passare il pallone

An absolutely silent, smooth, soft flight, the more you rise in altitude, the more earthly noises fade, until absolute silence, you only hear the flow of the wind! And it is the wind that drives your flight, nothing but the wind.
We do not see it, but there are many currents in the air, during the flight it is curious to see how, while flying over the same geographical point, balloons at slightly different altitudes move in completely opposite directions!
The landing, on the other hand, can be a bit more lively than the flight, in Ferrara we landed in a soy field, the basket overturned and was dragged by the balloon and the wind for several tens of meters, a bit like being in the spinning of a washing machine! At the end of a flight in Turkey, on the other hand, we landed with pinpoint precision: the pilot placed the basket directly on the trailer of an off-road vehicle!
A driving school curiosity: in aeronautics, the least maneuverable means is the one that always has precedence, therefore the balloon, not being maneuverable (it goes where the wind goes), always takes precedence, this means that if a balloon have to pass near a big international airport, all air traffic would be forced to stop to let the inflated ball pass!
